Bridget spent her formative years in Taranaki and was part of a family actively involved in the New Plymouth community. She returned to New Plymouth to practice law with Billings from 1992 to 1997, rejoining the firm in 2002 and thereafter becoming a partner and now director of Billings.
Bridget continues to specialise in a wide range of family law matters including the structuring and division of relationship property and the guardianship, care of and protection of children. Bridget is a senior Lawyer for Child and is often appointed by the Court to represent or assist children.
Bridget was an executive member of the New Zealand Law Society’s Family Law Section from 2005 until 2009 and was treasurer for her last two years. She is currently a member of the Family Law Section and sits on the Child Support Committee as convenor.
Away from work Bridget takes an active role in her son’s school activities and enjoys health and fitness pursuits including coaching her son’s basketball team. Bridget is also a current member of the New Plymouth Basketball Association Executive Committee and a past member of the New Plymouth Emergency Shelter Trust.
